Jeerakasala rice, also known as Wayanadan Kaima or Jeerakasamba, is a short-grain, aromatic, non-basmati rice variety primarily grown in the Wayanad district of Kerala, India. It is highly prized for its distinct cumin-like aroma and delicate flavor, which makes it ideal for preparing biryanis, especially the famous Malabar biryani, as well as ghee rice and pulao.
